An iconic Game of Thrones filming location…

Castle Ward

Next on our itinerary is a visit to Castle Ward, fans of the show will identify it as being the courtyard of Winterfell, where many a memorable scene takes place from King Robert’s visit to the Starks, to Jon Snow (with the help of WunWun) retaking the castle from the Bolton’s during battle of the Bastards. Whilst at Winterfell another exciting part of the tour is the chance to meet direwolves Summer and Greywind (aka Odin and Thor, rare breed Northern Intuit dogs which closely resemble wolves but are domesticated and therefore safer for the child actors to interact with).
